The life of a maker is one of continual striving for improvement in the practice of hand skills, technical problem solving, and reading one’s material. If a maker is lucky, they get to work on pieces that challenge those traits to the point of breaking, where the finished piece is a reflection of the pinnacle of the maker's character today and represents the culmination of all that has been learned before.

Made to
Measure

After training at Rycotewood and gaining experience in various workshops Nick was fortunate to work as a maker for Jonathan Rose for his distinguished client list, a job he got after attending The King's Foundation's Snowdon Summer School.

He had a past life as a land surveyor measuring buildings across London and beyond.
